's Flute and other stories by Paul Keens Douglas"Fedon's Flute" is the fourth album produced by Paul Keens-Douglas whose work has now become an integral part of the Trinidad and Caribbean art scene. His blending of narration and music is a fine example of this. Jules Fedon was French planter who lead a rebellion on the island of Grenada in 1795. The rebellion was eventually put down, but Fedon was never captured. It's against this background that the story of the events of March 13th 1979 are told. On this date the New Jewel Movement under Maurice Bishop seized power in Grenada in what has come to be known as The Grenada Revolution. |
