Karen S. Hinds was born and raised in the Caribbean island of St.
Vincent. Karen combines her knowledge of Caribbean hospitality-British
style, and grace to bring a fresh perspective to improving workplace
relations.
Karen has worked and traveled internationally to Europe, the
Caribbean and Latin America and credits her expertise to diverse
experiences working with people in all levels of corporate, political
and socio-economic cultures. She migrated to the USA from of St.Vincent
in 1986 to pursue her education.
Karen graduated from Bowdoin College in Brunswick, Maine in 1993 with
her B.A in International Relations and Spanish. After her senior year in
college, she competed nationally and won a Watson Foundation Fellowship
that was funded by IBM. The fellowship allowed her to travel to six
Caribbean nations studying the impact of political commentary-calypso
music on political systems.
