"Don't Rock De Boat" released in mid December 2003 had the marketing goal of spanning two seasons. In all likelihood, it missed Christmas. But D’Ivan certainly will triumph through the current 2004 Carnival seasons from Port of Spain and Georgetown - Mashramani - to Brooklyn and Miami at the end of the year.

By contemporary standards, this is a collector's item. There are fifteen tracks of a good variety of soca, calypso with chutney and ballad flavors. "Bamboo Fire" is nothing like the traditional folk song with its curry flavor. "Cane Crusher" is also a double entendre kaiso holding to the artform's traditions. Smooth.

"Doo-la-heen", the soca love song, has snippets of Hindi lyrics and all. "Que Sera Sera", in the styling of Sparrow, is the soca ballad. "Peace" draws on Indian and European classical rhythms with hopeful lyrics at this time of senseless warring.

Guyana is celebrated in "Beware" "Oh Guyana" and "Mashramani". "Mata Pestle", "Trini Carnival", "Rubbing Up", and "Crazy DJ" will make “Don’t Rock De Boat” a favorite in the 2004 carnival arenas. Then at year-end, "Seasons Greetings" will be appropriate as its last track position. D’Ivan will be fresh with his signature call of ‘Me Again’ for those who missed it Christmas 2003.
